This powder room was beautiful, until you looked up. Not many people think of doing something on the ceiling. But this client loves color and has a great sense of style throughout her home. She wanted me to come up with something that would play up the cinnamony, bronzy tones of her tiles, granite and walls. I previously faux finished several rooms in her home, so she decided to keep the walls plain, but focus on the ceiling. After several layers of plasters and metallic colors like Chocolate, Espresso, Copper, Bronze later, the ceiling became the focal point.

Love this look... I put a large medallion up over my dining room table that has a large oblong center opening that might be a great idea to do something like that in the center. Great look!
ReplyDeleteThanks Candi. It really adds beauty and drama to a space. Go for it!
